Remembering the Greek Revolution

Prominent general and patriot in the War of Greek Independence, Theodoros Kolokotronis (1770 - 1834) remains throughout the centuries an important Greek hero, teaching the peoples "how slaves become free" and "[giving] everything for the nation."

March 25th marks the anniversary of the Greek War of Independence (1821-1830), during which patriots gave their life for the rebirth of their nation.

In honor of those heroes, I have created embroideries of the Greek flags from that time and presents them in the illustrations here.

From February 2004, I have been promoting the ancient Greek ideals in the Middle East Times newspaper and foreign press and presenting historical flashbacks of key battles, through my hand-woven embroidered cards.

I am offering my works to a number of international personalities. By this gesture I wish to demonstrate the grandeur of the Greek character and uplift my homeland, by displaying its unique culture.
