United Nations for Global Peace

I wish to personally honour the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, and all the U.N. member states.

By gifting this hand-embroidered card to Mr. Ban I wish to demonstrate the grandeur of the Greek people worldwide.

This is what Greece is all about:

- A country of light and culture.

- The homeland of Homer, Socrates, Aristotle, Sophocles, Plato and many other great philosophers.

- The country that conceived the Olympic ideal and the place where the first Olympic Games were organised in ancient Olympia in 776 BC.

"My heartfelt wish: That there be lasting peace on Earth." - Katerina Kondovraki

The United Nations Public Enquiries Team on April 4, 2007 sent the following letter to me:

"Thank you for your recent letter which has been referred to this office for reply. The contents of your message have been read and noted."

"We are grateful to you for keeping us informed about your work as an artist, and hope you will understand that the Secretary-Generalís official duties prevent him from thanking you with a personal letter."

"We wish you success in your endeavours and thank you for taking the time to write to us."

Best regards,
Public Inquiries Team,

Really, it's worth the read.
